There are basically 4 pins in the Battery connector.

  • Positive (P+)
  • Thermal (TH od NTC or PTC)
  • Identification (ID)
  • Negative or Ground (P-)

The following table helps you to find the resistance value of the resistors connected in the Thermal Pin and Id Pin.

The resistor connected to the Thermal line is either an NTC or PTC.

The resistance value of the NTC resistor decreases with increasing temperature and vice versa. Similarly, the resistance value of the PTC resistor increases with increasing temperature and vice versa.

Most of the Thermal resistors used in Mobile Batteries are NTC. The value of the Thermal resistor provided in the table is taken in Room temperature.

You can repair some significant errors like Battery Temperature Too High, Battery Temperature Too low, Battery Contact Errors, etc
